Good Start!

Mildly creepy, but the beat it okay!

Wow, this is stunning, simply amazing.

SoundChris responds:

Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it :)

Super smooth and hard hitting, you have some great melodies!

KabukiTunes responds:

Awesome, thank you!

You have a good vibe going here! I really like some of the melodies and no drums (besides the background click), thats a bold move. I would say that it is a bit muddy in you low mids, least it seems that way to me.

Good job on this, I really like the break down strong basses. The diminished chord( i think?) sounds kind of weird, it may be better if the progression did not always go to that chord, but you made it work out.

If you cut a bit of low mids out of a few of the basses in the break down i think that it would really let them shine, i believe it was just a bit mid heavy.

Voltus responds:

Thanks for your Review! It's not really a diminished chord it is just the natural minor cord that formes over the second. I wanted it to stay there that long because with all the pentatonic stuff in modern (pop)music it's refreshing to hear something different imho. And to the mid heavyness: I mixed it to my abilities and referenced the track in the studio so maybe your monitoring setup slightly pushes up the mids?
Anyways thanks again for your Review! Glad you enjoyed your time with my Song ;)

I love the piano in part one that is such a baroque sounding passage. But I think my favorite part is part two, great build, great chord changes, awesome sounds(that air phasey synth fit so well with the strings), you really have so much talent!

Phonometrologist responds:

Interesting that you mentioned baroque, because I used a chord progression inspired by Bach that consists of three chords.
I do appreciate your kind words! Though, I would like to say that talent is overrated. The emphasis should be on the character that makes any difference. It is what we do with what we're given. You got a lot of talent yourself and so do a lot of people here. Perhaps our worldview/philosophy plays a part as well, but I've known a lot of people personally in how they lost their opportunities in projecting their talent.
I think about the opening line to Allen Ginsberg's "Howl: I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness..."

Great Job on this, the progression is very nice. Also, good luck in ngadm!

larrynachos responds:

Thanks man :D

Wow, this is super good! I am always amazed at the level of musicianship that some of the people on this site have. Job well done!

UncommonStuff responds:

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed it :)

This is classic, great song man! Really good transitions and the breakdown section was very interesting, 5 stars here!
