This is really cool. Flows really nice and and all the sounds fit really well. I have to say that my favorite part is the kick drum thing. It adds just the perfect amount of percussion without overdoing.

Chemiqals responds:

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm a fan of that kick as well =P

Very good melody! The piano in the beginning is just perfect and then when paired with the trumpets at the end it just makes the song. Great job

anthonyragus responds:

Thanks man!

Very cool, I liked your arp sound. The progression of the track is really good as well, the track kept moving along with enough changes that I was never bored.

OPFX responds:

Being bored would definitely be a bad thing!

Wow, this is just perfect! Really great job. My favorite part was the beginning, really caught my attention, I was kind of sad when that part ended. However, the build was a good progression of the track as well.

I love Chopin's Preludes and Nocturnes, so emotional and expressive. For being recorded with an Iphone the piano really does not sound that bad, the imperfection is definitely felt. The transition from the sampled piano to your recording was a bit awkward, but i think that it worked with the piece. I simply love the atmos at the end, with the crowd, the old organ and band playing a hymn like melody. Very clever.

Great Job!

Phonometrologist responds:

There are too many great pieces to learn, but I keep coming back to learn Chopin and Debussy mainly. I really think Chopin's Prelude sets an interesting tone for the crowd and the Auld Lang Syne song that is heard for New Years. Anything else that precedes it I think would give it a different feeling.
Thanks for taking the time to write your thoughts

Great Job! This really reminds me of "Legend of Zelda" for some reason, I am thinking like skyward sword. I would not say that this is a mess by any means, the ending is a bit weird, I feel like there should be a part two?

The mix was great all the instruments sound really good together. Your melodies and transition are spot on. I would love to see this in a game. The only thing that stood out to me as sounding out of place was the "lo vocal" track, it just sounded a bit too fake.

Deemo-R responds:

I actually didn't think about it, but I can see some of where Zelda might come through with this. I was probably subconsciously influenced by it, heh. I had the ending at the start of the song at first, but it kind of didn't lead where I was hoping for it to go. I still wanted to test the effects that these beautiful violin soundfonts could produce, however, so I tried to work it into the song. I can definitely see where you would think that the piece ends a bit oddly. Honestly, I just couldn't come up with anything else, I suppose xP

I'm surprised to hear that you thought the mix was serviceable. I was very limited to the number of tracks that I could make, so dynamics and general mixing suffered for it. Some of the instruments just stick out a bit sorely to me as well. I definitely know what you mean about the low choir sound. it's from Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra, and it isn't exactly stellar quality. Good choir libraries cost a lot these days! You make the best of what you've got, though, right?

Thanks a lot for the compliments and criticisms! :)

Oh, nice, I really love the beat in this, it is... perfect.

I am really digging this even though it is really sparse, all the elements really seem to fit in. I wish it was just a bit less atonal, maybe even a bit more melody. Regardless, good job! reminds me of "aphex twin".

This is really very haunting, I like the bell hits and that squirming pad thing.

TheComputerHermit responds:

Thank you for your very kind response and rating.

The pad gets a little bit too loud, i think that it may be better in the background with a little more reverb. I love the bell sound.
