Good job here, You did I very good job interpreting the picture, sounds like falling stars! I don't think that it is sad, it is more mystical and introspective, like a reflective piece. I really like the ambiance however i was not a huge fan of the lead synth, although I do see how it fits the pictures.

SourJovis responds:

Thanks. Mystical is what I was going for. Glad you got that feeling from it.

Wow, This is such an awesome piece. Normally I do not get through 8 minute songs just listening to them, but you had my undivided attention the whole time. The way that this piece evolved over the duration was just astounding. It really reminded me of Philip Glass in a lot of ways simple and very effective in conveying the emotion of the song.

Phonometrologist responds:

Hey thank you for the kind review. I didn't expect to get such a positive response.
The words you used are encouraging, "evolved over the duration...simple and very effective in conveying the emotion." This pretty much sums up what my objective is in music. To convey a message by taking the listener through a long journey is what I try to do with as much efficiency and effectiveness as I possibly can.

Wow, this sounds great! I think that the biggest thing it reminded me of was alice and chains, but seriously you have some very good vocal harmonies going on.

motakay responds:

Thank you very much! :)

I love this! It sets a perfect atmosphere, the only thing that stuck out to me was the percussion could sit in the mix a bit better, maybe some reverb and parallel comp?

carl565 responds:

Sounds like a great idea to me! Like I stated in the description, I definitely want to revisit this song. But seeming that every other song that I've said that about, I wouldn't give up my hopes on me actually revisiting it, haha.

Wow, this is really good, A very clean mix

Wow, you really sound like Kurt Cobain, nice job on this, I like it.

jambrother2 responds:

haha i tried not to be too much of a rip off, i guess i failed, but sounding like kurt cobain is never a bad thing, thanks for the review :)

You got skills, very nice piece and a lovely arrangement, the only thing I would change is sometimes the sustain seems to overtake the main melody, maybe let up on the sus pedal a little more?

I like your explanation of the song "it just kinda exists" I feel that way a lot as well. Anyways, it a great track and fairly impressive if you did it all in sibelius.

Soundtrekker responds:

Thanks! This was more or less of an experiment, so I'm glad to hear it paid off for the most part ^^

Thats a good Idea, I have way more unfinished tracks then finished one just sitting in folders, Thanks for posting.

DjSkyFall responds:

Thank you for the comment i appreciate it and i know a lot of artist probably have a bunch of unfinished projects but like i said, you never know when people might be inspired to finish those projects

Love it, the 8 bit elements are a nice touch.

GreaserOfficial responds:

Thank you kindly (:
